Compassion is Not a Permission Slip

Episode #31

Beth Clayton (your host) is a soul-based life and health coach and loves to help open-hearted
people break free from their own self-sabotage, outdated thought patterns, and past pain so
they can deepen their relationship with their own soul’s intuition, speak their truth courageously
and fulfill their most authentic desires. She is the creator of multiple group programs, retreats,
and transformational workshops, leading hundreds of truth-seekers toward finding freedom and
ease in their relationship with food, their bodies, their lives and ultimately, themselves.

This week, we are diving into:
● Why, during any self-growth, someone will have to look at their relationships with others
as a relationship to self.
● The importance of self-responsibility in our own healing and empowerment in our lives.
● Why compassion for others is not the same as permission for boundary-crossing
behaviors.
● How to navigate personal responsibility for our emotions and drawing boundaries with
others.
● Why acting in favor of our highest self is automatically acting in favor of another’s highest
self.
● Why it is important to ask yourself: is staying in this situation or in a relationship with this
person kind toward my highest self?
● The questions to ask yourself if you are on the fence of staying in a relationship that you
are worried isn’t serving your highest good.
